I've been given the heavy burden of going to San Diego for this year's Clinical TMS Society meeting. Well someone had to do it!

Actually, it's really important to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is such a cutting edge technology, and

things are still evolving quickly.

I am most interested in finding out more about theta burst protocols. Theta burst is a way of delivering the current 37-1/2 minute session in as little as 7 minutes. If the research holds up, this really has the potential to greatly increase the convenience of TMS.

There is also so much work being done on using TMS for a wide variety of conditions, but we also have to wait for the FDA to grant its approval before we can offer it to our patients.

I'm sure there will be lots of nuggets of wisdom from other clinicians, as well as those who have been using it in research for up to 20 years.

And I'm also looking forward to cooling off from the heat wave in Boston!
